Upward Bound (RUB) Program is currently in its 53rd year of operation on the Rutgers University- New Brunswick campus. It is in Educational Equity Group under the division of Diversity, Inclusion & Community Engagement (DICE). Rutgers Upward Bound (RUB) is a pre-college program designed to assist and motivate participants to successfully graduate from high school, prepare for college admission, a

nd to successfully complete their baccalaureate degree. Upward Bound is a year-round project that offers academic year workshops such as test preparation, cultural activities, college tours, college planning as well as a host of other programs. Upward Bound also offers a six-week on campus summer institute to prepare participants for college life.

Upward Bound/Math-Science is participating in Rutgers Giving Days, a 24-hour giving campaign taking place today, Friday, April 24, 2026.

The Bernard Fein Annual Memorial Scholarship honors the Rutgers Upward Bound Program's founding director by providing academic scholarships and book awards to high school seniors.

The Rutgers Upward Bound Math-Science pre-college programs need your help. Each day, we are transforming lives, one child at a time. Together, we can make an incredible impact on a child's future. Through educational, cultural, and extracurricular initiatives, we provide participants with keys that open doors to a bright future.
