Crystal Balaam is the proud owner and operator of Crystal’s Cradle. Founded in 2003, Crystal’s Cradle is a premier provider of infant and toddler education and childcare. She has dedicated her life to nurturing the minds of our future generation. She has served as a dependable source of love and care for many families throughout Middlesex and Somerset counties. She ensures that the children in her care build the critical skills that serve as a foundation to all future growth. Over the past two decades, she has assisted countless families in caring for their precious children and given them the peace of mind in knowing their children are safe, loved and learning.
After being diagnosed with skin cancer in 2008 and successfully completing chemotherapy and ongoing phototherapy, life took on new meaning. She spends every day being thankful for time spent and experiences shared with her three wonderful children Cedric, Crystina and Cayleigh. After years of dedicating herself as a loving and devoted parent, Crystal finally decided it was time to pursue her own dreams. In 2023, she took a bold step and started her own line dance group called Wine & Line Dancing. Crystal created a space where women can let go, have fun, and express themselves through dance. What began as a dream quickly became a growing, inspiring community proof that it’s never too late to follow your heart and build something beautiful. In a world where women are expected to wear countless hats, Crystal created W&LDANCING as a space where they only need to wear one that lets them be themselves. Her vision grew from a desire to help women step away from stress, trauma, fear, and the overwhelming weight of everyday life.
Through line dancing, Crystal has watched women conquer fears, rediscover joy, and build confidence they never knew they had. Crystal has been teaching dance to a range of audiences for over 25 years. WINE & LINE DANCING isn’t just a dance class it’s a sisterhood, a release, and a reminder that healing can happen one step, one beat, and one dance at a time. Crystal continues to empower women by giving them a place to breathe, move, and reclaim their light one line dance at a time. She thanks God for the good and bad days in her life and for allowing her to serve and support in so many different capacities. She continues to use her story for his glory and truly believes, “love is the best medicine”.
