Concealed Carry Training For Responsible Citizens I am a Certified Fi****ms Instructor specializing in handguns for concealed carry.
I formed Armed and Concealed in order to train other responsible citizens to exercise their Second Amendment rights safely. I am a Concealed Carry Weapons permit holder and I have been for a long time. I find that more responsible, law abiding Americans that carry concealed handguns ensure the safety of that person and others around them. Just think if there were a CCW permit holder that was armed

Local sheriffs adjust after Ohio gun permit law changes
daytondailynews.com An Ohio law change allows people wanting to obtain or renew their carry conceal permit to go to any county in the state to do it, a move supporters are welcoming.
Ohio Concealed Handgun Licenses EXTENDED TO JUNE 30, 2021
Last Thursday, Ohio Governor DeWine signed into law House Bill 614, with an amendment crafted jointly by BFA and House and Senate leaders to extend Concealed Handgun License (CHL) expiration dates.
The bill includes an emergency provision, which means that the CHL extensions go into effect immediately.
I encourage you to read the entire article on this, but here's the bottom line:
If your license is scheduled to expire between March 9, 2020 and June 30, 2021, the expiration date is extended by 90 days or until June 30, 2021, whichever is later.
Until June 30, 2021, you can apply for a license or renew a license at ANY sheriff office in Ohio. You are not limited to your home county or an adjacent county.
This is the result of Buckeye Fi****ms Associations' diligence and persistence on this matter. We took the lead as early as March, encouraging sheriff offices to reopen around the state, bring the license processing backlog to the attention of Statehouse leaders, pass an initial 90-day extension, then follow up with the current extension.
We won't consider these sort of problems fixed until we have Constitutional Carry in Ohio, but at least this brings desperately needed relief to thousands of Ohioans who face long wait times to apply for or renew licenses.
Yours for Liberty,
Buckeye Fi****ms Association

Happy Independence Day!!!!
A great piece to read about the current gun/ ammo situation.
From behind the gun counter...
Okay folks, I’m going to take a few minutes and try to address some of the issues we’ve all been dealing with over the last few months.
As you’re likely aware, the industry is in a state we haven’t seen since late 2012/ early 2013. Demand is up. Way up. At the same time, supply is way down. I can’t tell you how many calls and emails we get with folks looking for G***k 19’s, Ta**us G2C’s, AR15’s, 9mm and 5.56 ammo, etc, etc. Folks are confused why they can’t find these items. Some of these inquiries are from previous customers, while many of them are from first-time shoppers.
The current spike in demand was not anticipated, and supply chains were not stocked in preparation for it. Conversely, the industry typically sees a severe slowdown in the summer months. Manufacturers plan shutdowns, maintenance, retooling, employee vacations, etc. during these traditionally slow times. Distributors who typically order 3-6 months in advance do not order for much delivery in the summer months. Dealers plan and order the same way. It’s just the way the industry operates, based on historic trends. So we all expected the the usual busy ‘tax refund’ season, followed by a dead summer. The plan (for everyone) was to hold little inventory over June/July/August.
While tax season started ramping up, Covid hit. People panicked, not knowing if we were going to be playing out a real-life version of The Walking Dead. This accelerated the sales, to put it mildly. The inventory that was slated to get the industry through to summer was gone before mid-April. A the same time, Covid precautions began shuttering or greatly reducing manufacturing facilities. Demand continued to increase. Covid restrictions remained, raw materials became unobtainable. Panic increased as a direct result of these shortages.
By mid-May, Covid panic was settling down. Manufacturers and distributors did a good job getting dealers somewhat restocked. We had some breathing room. Then in late-May, the protests/riots started. Overnight, the panic buying was back on. Whatever inventory the industry had managed to scrape together to restock shelves was wiped out in a week. And the demand remains.
I have spoken at length with several reps this week. From what we’re hearing, G***k is running at 30% capacity. Ta**us is running one shift per day instead of three. Magpul product seems to have gone into hiding. Who knows what Re*****on is doing. Ammo companies are struggling to source lead, copper and brass. Primers and powders are being hoarded by these same ammunition companies so they can produce when they have all the raw materials. Optics companies are 4-6 months behind on orders that have electronic components.
Product is still being produced, albeit at a slower rate than normal. All indications point to this being the case through the remainder of the year. With demand as it is, along with this being an election year, the industry is going to be turbulent for the foreseeable future. We’ve already been advised to start stocking up on fall hunting ammo and optics, now. We have also been warned of another 10%-15% increase in ammo cost before the end of the year.
Consider it this way: if there was not a single retail sale in the next 6 months, the industry will still not be able to catch up to normal inventory levels. There’s going to be a shortage for the rest of the year, best case. Worst case, the election goes sideways (or cities burn as a result of it not), and demand again skyrockets. Either way, it’ll be a long time before you see stores stocked the way you did in mid-March. While shops are getting product on a daily basis, it simply doesn’t hang around.
TL;DR: What I first presumed would be just a busy tax season is definitely going to last at least through the end of the year. Demand is double normal; production is half of normal. It’s not a conspiracy- it’s just demand exceeding supply.
Soon, I’ll go into details about how stores get product in these times. There’s an entire post worth of data about how the supply chain operates, and all the politics involved. See you then.
