We’re excited to welcome our new teachers to Pipestone Area Schools!

Kayla Kallevig – 4th Grade, Ainsley Johnson – 1st Grade, Emelyn Fernandez – Middle/High MLL, Jolene Nelson – High School English, Nathaniel Schreiber – High School Science, and Ethan Strawn – Middle/High Choir.

Our new teachers kicked off the school year with New Teacher Orientation on Wednesday, August 19. In the afternoon, our administration team took them on a tour of Pipestone to help them get to know the community they’ll be serving.

We’re glad to have you as part of PAS and look forward to a great school year. Please join us in welcoming our newest teachers!

We’re excited to kick off the 2026 Marching Arrows season with our community!

Join us Friday, August 21 at Paulsen Field for the first public performance of our 2026 field show, “Choose Joy.” You’ll also get another chance to see our America 250 patriotic parade show that the Marching Arrows performed throughout the summer, including in Chicago!

Food Trucks: 5:30 PM
Marching Arrows Perform: 7:00 PM
Where: Paulsen Field, Pipestone
FREE ADMISSION!

Come hungry! Lingen Dairy will be serving burgers, fries, and shakes, and Taqueria el Tarascó will also be on site.

Are you a new student or family joining our English Learner (EL) Program?

We are so excited to welcome you! Join us for a special orientation session where we will assist you with registration forms, completing paperwork, and getting all the helpful information you need to kick off a great school year.

Please join us Thursday, August 20, 2026 in the Middle/High School Commons - Choose between 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM or 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM.

Bonus - Free food and snacks will be provided!

We offer interpreter support, welcome packets, parent guides, and community resources to make your transition as smooth as possible. Let’s make learning English fun!

Please join us for our Middle and High School Open House on Tuesday, August 25.

We will offer three identical sessions in the auditorium. Families may attend whichever session works best for their schedule:

10:00 a.m.
1:30 p.m.
5:30 p.m.

Each session will begin in the auditorium with a welcome and important information to help students and families prepare for the new school year.

Following the presentation, families will stop at the station near the commons to pick up their student’s schedule. From there, you will head to the library, where you can pick up textbooks and Chromebooks.

After that feel free to:

* Meet and visit with teachers
* Add money to your student’s lunch account
* Ask questions and get additional information

Important Chromebook Reminder -

If your student has an outstanding balance related to a missing Chromebook or charger, or has not returned library books or textbooks, they will not be able to check out a Chromebook for the new school year until the missing items are returned or the outstanding balance is resolved.

We look forward to welcoming our middle and high school students and families and helping everyone get ready for a successful school year!

Attention Elementary Parents!

Elementary Back-to-School Conferences are Tuesday, August 25, from 10:00 am–8:00 pm! Families can log in to ParentVUE to select a 15-minute conference time with their child’s teacher; conferences are a great opportunity to meet the teacher, visit the classroom, bring school supplies, and help your child feel ready for the first day. Families will also have the opportunity for school pictures, vision and hearing screenings, and to connect with their child’s teacher!
