REVerb Afterschool Reaching Elk Valley with Excellence and Rising Beyond Our Philosophy:
We believe that every child can learn and that no child should be left behind.

In order to supplement the hard work of the classroom teacher, we have planned supplemental approaches to learning. Students need to connect with knowledge by participating in activities that are related to real-life, both emotionally and practically.
• Students need to grow socially as well as intellectually.
• Students need several varied approaches to information or skills.
• Students learn

more easily when they understand the usefulness of information or skills and how they apply to their lives.
• Students build their knowledge and self-esteem when they receive praise and encouragement.
• Students learn best when they are seen as individuals, apart from their background, race, ethnic group, family situation or financial status.

FAMILIES: Please return Afterschool packets to school as soon as you can so we can start making plans for the school year. Also, don't forget our Parent Info Meeting on Wednesday. Drop in anytime between 3 and 5 for refreshments, meet the Afterschool staff (we have some new ones!), fill out paperwork, and answer any questions you might have. We hope to see you there!

Have you noticed our name change? We are now rEVerb, Reaching Elk Valley with Excellence and Rising Beyond. We are excited about this name change and we created some new logos that everyone got to vote on at registration day. Everyone had eight to choose from, and the overwhelming two favorites are posted here. We are going to let the students who attend Afterschool (which starts August 31!) vote on the final one.

PARENT MEETING will be Wednesday, August 19, in the cafeteria. Come "pop in" anytime between 3 & 5 for some refreshment...

We are so excited that the our Afterschool grant has been renewed for another three years! So get ready for another awesome year of Afterschool! We will be at the school Wednesday for registration, so please come by, say hi, and grab a registration packet. We hope to see you and your student there!

Summer Camp 2026 is in the books! Fun was had all around! There were a few tears shed at the end of Thursday, at least by Mr. Ross! This was a fun end to a fantastic school year! Thank you, parents, for allowing Afterschool to be a part of your child's life this year. Whether your student was a regular during the school day or just came to camp, we were blessed to have them be a part of the program!

Be watching your mailbox over the next couple of weeks for some mail from me (Mr. Ross).

Special thanks to Mrs. Nancy Lay, Mrs. Seiber, Mrs. Katie, Nancy D., Mrs. Tonya, Mrs. Alisha, Ms. Kathy, Mrs. Baird, and Mrs. Brittany for everything you all have done all year to help with our program.

Some of you may know that this is a grant cycle year for us, which meant we had to reapply with the state for another 3-year cycle. When a funding decision is made, likely towards the end of July, I will post it here to let everyone know. In the meantime, have an amazing summer and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll be back for the 2026-2027 school year!
