We recently had a generous donation from the Pilot Mtn. Civic Club for our LOL(Loads of Love) room. Our very own Mrs. Meagan Hutchens did all the shopping, delivery and organizing. We are so thankful to the Civic Club for their support of Shoals Elementary! Thank you Meagan for always going above and beyond to take care of us here at Shoals!

Good evening, Mountaineer families. This is your principal, Mr. Cook, calling with your weekly update.

Monday will be Day 3 for Specials.

Our 3rd graders will take their Beginning-of-Third-Grade Reading assessment on Wednesday. Thank you for having your child here on time and well-rested.

Students in Kindergarten-3rd grade will complete their Beginning-of-Year DIBELS reading assessment this week.

Our fall fundraiser materials will be handed out on September 1. We will be selling Mrs. Pumpkins homemade frozen meals. Help us purchase supplies for our students and staff. Our fundraiser will run from September 1st to 15th.

There will be no school on Monday, September 7th, as we recognize the Labor Day Holiday.

Looking ahead, our Books and Breakfast event will take place on September 30th to kick off our book fair. The book fair will be held September 30th through October 2nd.

Fall Picture Day is September 24th.

Good afternoon!

It is your school counselor and new SAVE Promise/Student Council advisor, Ms. Lilly, just here to announce that it is that time of year again for our SAVE Promise/Student Council election! I am also thrilled to announce that we have added a new position in our SAVE Promise/Student Council, which is our SAVE Promise Representative. This position will allow 4th grade students to get even more involved!

If your 4th-5th grade child is interested in joining SAVE Promise/Student Council, a form containing all the information, along with a self-nomination form, has been sent home. I am very excited to be the guide for this year's SAVE Promise Club and to see all that these students do to make Shoals and our community even more wonderful!
