Today was a great day to be a Pink Hill Hornet! We love when we have special community members visit our school. We would like to say a special thank you to a few members of the South Lenoir Varsity Football team for assisting with car rider drop off this morning. We would also like to extend a special thank you to the Pink Hill Vol. Fire Department, Pink Hill Police Dept. and Lenoir County EMS. These community members came to teach our students about Fire and Public Safety. Thank you to all of our special friends for making our Friday fabulous!

PHES is excited and grateful to have been selected as a recipient of 50 azalea plants through the 40th Annual Azalea Celebration!

A very special thank you to Keep North Carolina Beautiful, in partnership with WRAL and Capitol Broadcasting Company, for providing this wonderful opportunity to schools and nonprofit organizations across our state. These 50 azaleas will be used to help beautify our campus and create a warm, welcoming environment for our students, staff, families, and community.

We are excited to put these beautiful plants in the ground and watch them grow alongside our Hornet family for many years to come!

It's time to recognize our Principal's Pals!

Each month, teachers select one student from their homeroom who represents the very BEST of Pink Hill Elementary. Principal's Pals are students who make good choices, show kindness and respect, word hard, help others, and set a positive example for those around them. Our students' choices matter every single day, even when they think no one is watching!

Congratulations to this month's Principal's Pals!

Today is National Custodian Appreciation Day!

We want to give a very special thank you to our three amazing custodians here at PHES—Mrs. Graham, Mrs. Price, and Mr. Moody! They work hard every single day to keep our school clean, safe, and looking its best. We are so thankful for all they do and grateful to have each of them as part of our Hornet Family!

Pictured are Mrs. Graham and Mrs. Price.
