🌟Why Rising Starz?🌟

10 YEARS💖

I’ve been thinking a lot about that number lately. Ten years of music, dance, costumes, recitals, rehearsals, tears, laughter, friendships, accomplishments, challenges, and SO many memories. ❤️

When I started Rising Starz Dance Academy, I had a vision for teaching dance but over the years, it has become so much more than that.

It has become a place where little girls can walk through the doors nervous about trying something new and leave feeling confident.

A place where dancers can learn to work hard, overcome challenges, celebrate each other, and believe in themselves.

A place where friendships are made, memories are created, and every dancer can feel like they belong.

And THIS is why I keep doing what I do.

Because the dance steps matter… but the confidence, character, friendships, and memories we build along the way matter even more.

This picture is one of those little reminders of why Rising Starz means so much to me. These dancers have brought so much joy to my life, and I’m incredibly grateful for every family who has trusted me with their children over the years.

To my past, present, and future Rising Starz families, THANK YOU. 💗

5 Reasons Dance Will Make Your Child’s Life Better

Yes, your child will learn steps, routines, and technique. But somewhere along the way, they will learn so much more.

1. Dance helps children believe in themselves.
Each time they learn something new, work through a challenge, or step onto a stage, they discover that they are capable of more than they realized.

2. Dance teaches children to keep going.
Not every step comes easily. Dance teaches patience, persistence, and the confidence to try again.

3. Dance gives children a place to belong.
The studio can become a second home, filled with teachers and friends who encourage them, accept them, and celebrate their progress.

4. Dance allows children to express who they are.
Through music and movement, children can discover their creativity, share their feelings, and find a voice without saying a word.

5. Dance teaches lessons that last a lifetime.
Responsibility, teamwork, kindness, commitment, confidence, and respect are all part of a quality dance education.

To the mom about to sign your little girl up for dance class…

You probably think you’re signing her up for a fun activity.

A pink leotard.
Tiny ballet shoes.
A few classes after school.

You’re not.

You’re signing up for hair buns that have to be just right.

More bobby pins than you thought one person could own.

Recitals that somehow make you cry every single year.

Car rides filled with music she insists on practicing one more time.

You’ll learn the names of steps you’ve never heard before.

You’ll spend countless evenings waiting outside a studio, watching her confidence grow a little more with every class.

Some days she’ll come out smiling.

Some days she’ll be frustrated.

Some days she’ll wonder if she’s good enough.

That’s when she’ll need you most.

One day you’ll realize she isn’t the little girl in oversized ballet slippers anymore.

She’s standing taller.

Believing in herself.

Taking the lessons dance gave her long after the music stops.

The grace.
The discipline.
The friendships.
The resilience.

So when she’s twirling through the living room…
