Currently the PVs serve in Wyoming County, WV, Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, NY, Seattle, WA and Aurora, IL.

Established by the Passionist Order in 1973 and flourishing today as a non-profit organization, the PV Program seeks to walk with the least, the last, the lost and the left out.

Hearts and Hands

Community

The volunteers are getting close to wrapping up the week. As has become a tradition since we started staying at Mullens United Methodist, the PVs hosted their annual Community Dinner. It is a chance for volunteers to connect with the local community by opening up the doors to anyone who would like to join. This year more than 30 people came and joined together in an evening of fellowship. We are so grateful for the time together and the support we have been shown.

Off and Running

The PVs spread out over 5 different sites today to begin their work. They cleaned gutters, scraped paint, repaired floors, prepped for insulation, and prepped for drywall, cleaned and most importantly spent time with each other and with the people at their sites. Being able to slow down from our busy lives and just be in the moment is such a gift that volunteering is offers. The living is simple, but you have everything you need. Enjoy some pictures from the first day.

Volunteers have arrived from far and wide and are ready to get to work! We have long time volunteers (30+ years), newbies and many in between. They have come from all over with the purpose to give of their time to help their neighbor and build community.
