The Bell County Public Library District is looking for (2) detail-oriented library clerks with great people skills, technology skills, and a love for learning!
Library clerks are front-line library staff who work with the public to answer phone calls, assist patrons in using library materials and technology, check materials in and out of the library, and shelve returned library materials.
Successful library clerks deliver superlative customer service, are comfortable using computers, printers, fax machines, cell phones and tablets, and other common technology used in libraries. Clerks will have excellent reading comprehension skills, problem-solving abilities, and money-handling skills.
Library clerks will be assigned primarily to Pineville-Bell County Public Library, but may be expected to work at Middlesboro-Bell County Public Library or at off-site programs when necessary. Clerks will work up to 18 hours a week, four days a week, during library working hours from 10-7, and including Saturdays.
