Senior Parents… this is for you! Due to recent changes in the last few years, all students filing the FAFSA must have their parent set up an FSA ID and our grant teams are ready to help!

Join us on the porch of the school Friday from 10:00-2:00 or in the cafeteria from 4:00-8:00 and they will be happy to help!

Earlier this week our GEAR UP team took several of our Senior Bobcats to the University of the Cumberlands for their annual college fair and a tour! Our Bobcats have spent years preparing for what’s next and soon it will be time to choose!

It’s national GEAR UP week! Our current GEAR UP team has been with us for four years now and is continuing to make an impact. Yesterday in celebration of GEAR UP week, our seniors spent the day with a representative from LMU.

Later this week, students will also have a visit from a trade school as we look at possibility for everyone. We are here to ensure everyone not only has a dream, but has the support to make it happen!

At Bell County High School we are dedicated to preparing our students for what’s next!

Today, a few of our seniors were able to take a field trip to tour Asbury University and make a special stop by their media museum. During their tour they were able to interact with exhibits and props from popular movies like “Titanic”, “Star Wars”, “Batman”, and Jurassic Park, all of which were developed by Asbury students.

We’ve been trying something new this year on Log Mountain with our “Senior Seminar”. Every student from the class of 2025 attends a class each day to focus on resume building, job applications, college applications, FAFSA, scholarships, and anything they need to achieve their goals and dreams. Trade schools, 4-year universities, and other types of institutions have been invited to help our senior Bobcats prepare for what’s next!

Today our students heard from the team at Union Commonwealth University as they shared about their programs which included a visit from one of their professors, Dr. Stella, PhD. Our students enjoyed hearing about great opportunities just a few miles down the road!
