McDonald County Jr. High and our Blackhawks did an amazing job at the end of the year band and choir recital.
6th grade - Band: Britney Smith, Cayton Schlessman, Dominick Caylor, Paul Greene, Quinn Duncan, and Solomon Cook.
7th Grade - Band: Adam Wright, Dixie Butcher
8th Grade - Choir: Morgan Burton

Just a few reminders for the next two weeks.

1. We will have school on Monday, May 12 and Monday, May 19.

2. 8th grade promotion will be on Monday, May 19 at 6:30 pm. Cake and punch for the students and parents will be directly after the ceremony. The students need to be here no later than 6pm to prepare.

3. 7th grade math will be taking the algebra placement test for 8th grade on Monday, May 12. Letters have been sent home to parents explaining the process. Keep an eye out for those.

4. May 21st will be the school talent show at 1:30pm. Parents and guardians are welcomed to attend.

5. 8th grade will be attending the art field trip on Friday, May 9.

If anything else comes up, we will post the new information as we get it.

Jackson and Leah tied on their STEM project for floating pots of gold at 60 pennies before sinking. Great job!

8th grade students were given on Monday their permission slips for the 8th grade Jefferson City field trip on Monday, March 24. These need to be turned in by tomorrow.

8th grade will have high school enrollment tomorrow, Thursday, March 6 at the MCHS building from 5:30 - 6:30. It is very important they attend. If your student does not enroll on Thursday, he or she will be pushed to the end of the list and may not get the classes they want.
