Longleaf Academy We are a private, non-profit day school for children with language-based learning disabilities. Welcome to Longleaf Academy!

We are a private, non-profit, collaborative school that establishes resource programs in the traditional private school setting for children with language-based learning disabilities. Our interventions have helped children with dyslexia and Asperger’s Syndrome make a minimum of 30% reading growth in a single academic year. Using the Orton-Gillingham Approach, a multi-sensory methodology, our stude

nts learn reading strategies that enable them to become lifelong learners. Longleaf Academy offers a collaborative instructional resource in both St. Patrick's Catholic School in Fayetteville, NC and Episcopal Day School in Southern Pines, NC. Our instruction is delivered through the Orton Gillingham approach in a 4:1 student/teacher ratio. Our curriculum is spiraled throughout the approved NC-Common Core curriculum.
