Putting hypotheses to the test! 🍬🌈 First Grade students explored how water temperature can affect the way colors spread by experimenting with Skittles in both warm and cold water. 

They made predictions, observed the changes, compared the results, and discovered which temperature made the colors move faster. A colorful way to practice scientific thinking, observation, and experimentation! 🧪

Our 2nd grade students put their Tikkun Olam focus into action by helping load donations from this year’s High Holy Day Food Drive onto the JCS Kosher Food Bank truck. 💙🚚

With food insecurity as their Tikkun Olam focus for the year, this was a meaningful opportunity for them to put what they’ve been learning into action and give back to our community.

Curious minds were buzzing in Early Childhood! 🐝

As part of their Rosh Hashanah learning, our students welcomed a special guest for an up-close look at the world of bees and honey. From exploring the beekeeping display to seeing the equipment beekeepers use, students had the opportunity to observe, ask questions, and learn more about where honey comes from.

The special visit gave students an even deeper connection to the Rosh Hashanah tradition of dipping apples in honey and wishing for a sweet new year. 🍎🍯✨

This High Holy Days season, we invite our RDS and Temple Beth Am community to join us in giving back by donating non-perishable food items to benefit the South Florida’s Jewish Community Services’ Kosher Food Bank.

Every donation is a small act of kindness that can make a meaningful difference. Drop off your donations between September 12 and September 21! 🍎🍯
