OK... No more excuses or postponements... Our next meeting is tomorrow (Thursday) at 6:30pm in the Pine Valley Community Church...

It's Election Night! Need-not-be-present-to-win! The usual suspects will most likely be in attendance but for everyone else this is a great opportunity to see how it all works and get involved in this great community!

After the dust settles we'll talk about:
* A November event to (hopefully) make up for PV Days shortfall
* Christmas lights - both for Pine Valley and Descanso
* Our Winter events: Santa's House and the Senior Dinner

In our rush to close out Pine Valley Days and give credit to everyone who helped out we overlooked THE most important person:

Mike Fishbeck

Every year Mike donates his time and extensive BBQ skills in order to ensure the dinner goes off without a hitch. Did you see the new Chicken grill? He built that! For this event!

Think it's just BBQ? Mike also cooks all the beans and corn!

Please join us in apologizing for the oversight and thanking the core of the Pine Valley Days BBQ: Mike Fishbeck!

(Sigh of relief) Ahhhh... There we go everyone, another Pine Valley Days is in the books!

Thanks as always to our members and their families (Tom and Trina Barret, Wayne Miller, Patrick and Cynthia Duggan, Ron and Tracy Siefert, Hoss and Vivalee Anderson, Lisa Smith, Christina Walker) and our volunteers both new and returning (Heather, Pandora, Christina's crew, MEHS Volleyball, MEHS Class of 2028)!

Thanks to the Parade Coordinators for the always awesome Pine Valley Days Parade! (OMG: Biplanes, Bagpipes, and a Monster Truck!)

Thanks to all our Vendors (both food and merchandise)!
Descanso Junction Restaurant, El Tarasco Mexican Food, Trailblazer Ink, uWannaCuppa

And to you, the Mountain Empire Community: We do this for you and can't do it without you!

That being said, let's go ahead and acknowledge the pack of elephants in the room: It was too hot again this year, you should move the date... Renting the Park is expensive, you should do it by the Post Office... Permits are a pain in the a$$... There were no tank tops... There should be horses/pine trees/mountains/the PV logo/a sunrise on the t-shirts... Bring back the rodeo...

As the old parable goes: When the mouse was asked how he ate the elephant he replied, 'One bite at a time'... ;-)

We are going to start with the larger elephants... Bring the BBQ sauce!

Whew! What a night! Thanks everyone for coming out! Y'all ready for Day 2?

After the always awesome Pine Valley Days Parade come join us for our Day in The Park! Tons to do for everybody!

Game on! Who's in! The BBQ portion of Pine Valley Days starts at 5... Plate prices are $20 for Adults, $15 for kids and Seniors... You get your choice of Deep Pit Pork or BBQ Chicken! (Huge thanks to Volleyball for serving this bump-set-spike of a meal!)

After that it's Big Sky Moon playing until 9:30!

We'll have T-shirts, Glow Sticks, Sodas, and Beer... Oh... Did we mention we'll have Nickel Beer Company Beer?

* Does anyone have a couple of 6 to 8 foot T-posts we can borrow? The banner, like us, could do with a little more support...
