At our annual picnic, we heard from Ryan Carlson of Cass Soil and Water Conservation District about how we can all help keep our lake beautiful and healthy. It starts with small, easy things like picking up after our dogs and not mowing for 20 feet from the shore or in areas of the lot we're not actively using for outdoor fun.
If you're interested in help funding a bigger project to strengthen and beautify your shoreline with a native plant buffer, or learn more about a conservation easement to keep land in our watershed undeveloped, go to Cass Soil and Water Conservation District 's shoreline page.
