🌿 A little Northwoods update…

You may have noticed that we’ve been a little quiet lately. Northwoods is still very much here — we’re simply in a season of rebuilding, reimagining, and preparing for what comes next.

This year is going to look a little different while we continue working on our outdoor learning spaces, the Nature Building, and the next chapter of Northwoods Forest School. Rather than filling the calendar before everything is ready, we’re slowing down and focusing on a few meaningful seasonal gatherings.

We are hoping to offer two special events this fall/winter:

🏮 An October Lantern Walk — a slightly spooky, magical Halloween-season evening adventure held off-campus.

🕯️ A Winter Spiral — one of our favorite quiet traditions of light and the changing season, if preparations allow.

And behind the scenes, we’ll keep building, planning, creating, and getting our little forest school ready for a much fuller year ahead. 🌲

So, no — Northwoods hasn’t disappeared. We’re growing roots for what comes next.

Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸

Today we’re celebrating freedom, community, and the wild summer beauty all around us!!

Behind the scenes, we’re working away — freshening up our spaces, dreaming up seasonal offerings, and getting Northwoods Forest School ready for a beautiful fall ahead. 🌿✨

🌼 What a beautiful morning in the meadow.

Today’s Flower Festival was filled with ribbons dancing in the wind, flower crowns, warm tea, muddy hands, little seedlings, and slow time outdoors together. 🌿

Thank you to the families who joined us and helped welcome spring at Northwoods. 🤍

Our Northwoods Flower Festival is coming soon, and we’ll be finalizing registrations by May 8th to keep the gathering small and meaningful. 🌿
