This symposium is hosted by OLC MST with funding provided by the NSF ICE-TI Maka Kin Awayankapi (Stewards of Earth).

The Fall semester will start in a few days, so you may be wondering whether attending class in Week 1 matters. As the August 2026 Data Spotlight shows, students who attended the first lesson in Fall 2025 passed the course at a much higher rate than those who didn't. Additionally, the fewer sessions a student missed, the higher the success rate. So set yourself up for success by attending all your classes next week. You will get to know your instructor and classmates, find out what type of assignments/activities are required for you to succeed, and get an introduction to the subject area. Make sure you check your OLC student email, as some instructors may have already sent you the syllabus!

We are excited to welcome you to the Pine Ridge College Center and help you get ready for a successful semester!

Join us for two important days designed just for our students. Come meet the staff, get familiar with your center, learn the technology you will use as an OLC student, and connect with your fellow classmates.

💻 Technology Session

Wednesday, August 19, 2026 | 1:00 p.m.

Learn how to set up and use your OLC Single Sign-On to access the important online systems you will need as a student:

Student Email – Communicate with instructors, staff, and the college.

Moodle – OLC's online learning platform where you will access courses, assignments, materials, and other class information.

Jenzabar – Access your student information, registration, academic records, and other student services.

Online Bookstore – Access and purchase the books and course materials you need for your classes.

We will walk you through the process step-by-step and make sure you know how to access these resources.
