We are halfway through the week, and we are so grateful for our amazing PKI staff and everything they do for our Dragons each and every day!

It looks like our ice cream truck plans had a tiny meltdown today! 😅🍨

We are so sorry for the miscommunication and confusion about the ice cream truck coming to PKI today. But don’t worry—the sweet treats are still coming! 💙💛

It’s time for a HOMETOWN SHOWDOWN! 💙💛

Come out this Saturday, August 22 and help us cheer on our Pine Knot Dragons as they take on Whitley City! There’s nothing better than seeing our community come together to support our young athletes!

These Dragons have been working hard, and we want to see a BIG crowd there showing them some PKI DRAGON PRIDE! 💙💛

🐉💙💛 WELCOME BACK, PKI DRAGONS! 💛💙🐉

Today, the Pine Knot Intermediate staff came together for our District Opening Day as we prepare to welcome our amazing students through our doors tomorrow! 🎉📚

Our staff spent the day reviewing beginning-of-the-year procedures, setting goals, making plans, and preparing for a fantastic 2026–2027 school year! It was a wonderful day filled with teamwork, laughter, fellowship, and excitement as we get ready to do what we do best—love, support, and educate our Dragons! 🐉❤️

Our staff also received some special goodies to help kick off the year ready and prepared! Everyone received a Dragon crewneck sweatshirt, lanyard, calendar, candy, and school supplies—a few fun surprises to show just how much we appreciate the dedication they bring to PKI every single day! 💙💛

And, of course, we had some delicious fellowship along the way! Breakfast together started our day, and lunch was catered as we celebrated Mr. Greg Duncan’s birthday! 🎂🎉 A beautiful and delicious cake made by Mrs. Lois Neal made the celebration extra sweet! 💙

We are incredibly blessed to have such a dedicated, caring, and hardworking staff at Pine Knot Intermediate. Our Dragons are in for an AMAZING year! 🐉✨
