We had so much fun with Immaculate Heart of Mary last week!! We explored all our habitats and improved our team building skills. 🌊🦑We had perfect weather for the sound and the sea which allowed students to jump for joy when doing our activities! 😄😄

This week at Sound To Sea was pretty eventful!

1. Finding the limiting factors of a Maritime Forest!
2. Another big catch in the Sound!
3. Spider Web team lift!
4. Ragleaf Bahai
5. Focused with smiles for Squid Dissection.
6. Blue Crab in the Sound.
7. Ink prints during Squid Dissection.
8. Pond class detritus.
9. Beautiful day to talk about turtles at the Beach.
10. People pass with no words allowed.

We had an awesome start to our week with Episcopal Day School!!! We explored our barrier island habitats and had lots of fun! We ended our week with Wayne Country Day School where we conducted research on our sound by testing water quality and biodiversity using a large seine net!! Shout out to these students who braved the high tide and windy weather! 🌊🦐🐟

We had a fantastic week with Crystal Lake Montessori, North Raleigh Christian School, Expedition School, and Woodlawn School. We learned a lot and had a ton of fun. We also enjoyed some nice fall weather in the later part of the week🍂 Thanks for a great week, and we hope you come back soon!

We had such an amazing start to the school year with Resurrection Lutheran School! Rain or shine, we explored the barrier island habitats and found lots of cool critters! 🦀🐚🦉🐟🦐 (📸Thank you Ms.Jenny for the amazing photos!)

Sound to sea staff has been busy these last two weeks training for the school year! We are so ready to share our knowledge with our students this year!! 🌊🐬🦑

We ended our week with a Sand Castle Extravaganza🏖️ where our Science Explorers worked together to build the best sand creations🌟 they could imagine! And we wrapped it all up with our Open House where our Science Explorers got to show off all the things they learned and made throughout the week. What a great way to wrap up the Summer☀️!
