Tonight during the FFA Telethon at the Great Minnesota Get-Together, Pine Island FFA Reporter and Region VIII FFA Assistant Officer, Greta Hemingsen spoke about her experience in FFA and some fun things that are coming up for her and Region VIII!! Pine Island FFA Alumni Trapshoot has been scheduled for the 19th of September!!! More info and registration link to come, just wanted to get in on everyone's radar!!

Also members interested in going to National Convention should see/talk to Miss Bester ASAP!!! We need to have confirmed "yes" members by September 9th!

On August 12th, Trey was recognized for being named Olmsted County's FFA Dairy Premier Exhibitor! Thank you Compeer Financial for sponsoring his award. Dairy Production is one of his SAE areas, and Trey shares that with his show animals each summer! He will head off to Ridgewater in the fall!.

Thank you to Ayana Osterhaus, Salome Osterhaus and Grace Duncan for helping clean-up the Goodhue County Kiddie Barnyard!

That ends our summer events for our FFA members! State Fair will technically take place after school starts 🙂. Check out when our first meeting will take place and make sure to put it on your calendars! Come check out FFA and be invited to the BBQ afterwards!

Congratulations to Josie and Elaine Sauder for receiving their American Degrees!!! They will walk across the stage at the National FFA Convention at the end of October!!

Members Reminder!! We will be cleaning the kiddie barnyard at the Goodhue county fair this Sunday!!! Come at 8 a.m.!! More hands = faster clean-up! Great way to get service hours for your honors pass, state degree and other apps!!

ISO: Agriculture Field Trip Locations, Speakers and more!

This fall we will be having a class called Modern Agriculture Technology for the first time!! We are looking for any connections to farmers, businesses or speakers that we can visit or bring in to talk about automation, precision Ag equipment, robots, apps, computers and the like!! Olmsted County Fair ended yesterday— another successful week for Pine Island FFA members!Salome Osterhaus, Grace Duncan, and Lauren Pahl showed meat & market goats; Greta with her sheep; Lauren and Christian Pahl showed their swine; and Treyton Alberts showed his dairy. Highlights include:
