Today, in our pre-prom assembly, our students had the privilege of hearing from Seymour Josephson, who shared the story of his daughter, Samantha Josephson, and the important mission of the WHATSMYNAME Foundation.

Through a powerful and heartfelt presentation, students learned the foundation’s S.A.M.I. message—Stop, Ask, Match, and Inform—and the importance of making safe decisions when using rideshare services and then take the pledge to be safe. While we don't condone the use of these services for any of our students, the message is still impactful to hear as many of our students will be off to college and the workforce in the coming months.

Thank you, Mr. Josephson, for sharing Samantha’s story and helping educate and empower our students with life-saving safety lessons. Thank you to Officer Valianti for helping organize this message as well.

We are proud to share that NJ Transit recently held a statewide competition inviting high schools across New Jersey to submit bus wrap designs in honor of America’s 250th birthday.

Our Graphic Arts teachers, Mrs. Biddle and Mr. Kerr, took on the challenge with their classes and selected one design to represent the entire school. The chosen submission was created by 10th-grade student Lisaury Valenzuela Adames, and her design was ultimately selected as one of only two winning entries in the entire state of New Jersey!

Yesterday, NJ Transit came to our campus to officially unveil the bus, giving students the opportunity throughout the day to see Lisaury’s incredible work on display.

Congratulations to Lisuary on this outstanding achievement, and thank you to Mrs. Biddle and Mr. Kerr for supporting and inspiring our students’ creativity. Great work by all involved!

The AP Chem crew celebrated the end of AP testing last week with a little fun! Students explored the chemistry of tie-dye, learning how dyes bond to fabric to create bright, lasting colors. Everyone had a blast, and the shirts turned out as colorful and unique as the students who made them!

Today, students were able to visit our mental health fair during lunch periods. Students got to practice mindfulness, do some deep breathing, yoga and learn about the vast resources Overbrook offers through our many partners. Thanks to Dr. Liz Schopfer for setting everything up for the day!

Today, Overbrook students had an incredible time at the Unified Track Meet hosted at Delsea Regional High School.

Unified sports continue to show the power of inclusion and how athletics can bring people together in the best ways possible. We are so proud of all of our student-athletes and coaches for representing our school with heart, encouragement, and positivity throughout the day.
