Hello, we are Pauahi & Rafael, a daycare/sitting duo servicing Amador County and beyond. You can find us on Rover!

We are located in Pine Grove just seconds away from the fire station and pine grove vet clinic. We are on .25 acres FULLY FENCED, with a large gated deck, plenty of space for your pup to roam and play! If not outside, they'll be relaxing watching a Beethoven or napping in the cool AC. About us:
We are Pauahi & Rafael. We just bought our first home here in Pine Grove last October and for the past 12 years together, we’ve cared for our animals whom we love with all our hearts. We have two cats and two dogs, and to us, they’re more like our children than pets. We take them everywhere, on all our adventures, big or small. Most recently we’ve been going for hikes in the Eldorado mountains, camping at Lower Bear River Reservoir or taking trips to the coast! We work from home 90% of the time so these lucky animals get our love and attention 24/7, and so would your furry loved one as well!

Donated our Services to A Dog Rescue:
We own and run a video production company so when we were fostering with Foothill dog rescue (located in Shingle Springs) we offered our video services as a donation. It just so happens to have been their 10 year anniversary and we ended up creating a short video for them in hopes to raise awareness in the community!

Our volunteer work:
We’re animal lovers at our core and our involvement and volunteer work in the community is a great example of that. We are fosters with Foothill Dog Rescue located in Shingle Springs, and have cared for a handful of foster dogs in need of a forever home. We strive to be more than a place they can rest their heads and feel safe, but to introduce fun, adventure, and love into their life, especially when prior to coming to us, their experience might not have been pleasant. We've taken our fosters on camping trips, we've introduced them to the ocean for the first time while of a surf trip, we take them on hikes and lake days up the mountain, and of course lot's of love and snuggles! We'll even let them tag along on Lowes trips or have them along on date nights.

We are Animal Activists!!!
I found an injured gosling (baby goose) at Pardee Reservoir, the poor things had his legs tied up by a fishing line, his bones was exposed an everything. Thanks to the hard working people of Tri-County Wildlife care, he is now in the process of recovering from his injuries and he’s doing so well! I decided to volunteer at Tri-County Wildlife care in Jackson after my that day (and with intentions to continue). I was so grateful to have found them and continue my passion for helping animals in need. Some of my responsibilities are to feed baby birds by hand and help keep the facility clean.

It's not uncommon to find us jumping out of a moving car if we see a lost or stray dog, we're not the type of person who can just stand idly by in situations like those. Our love for animals extend beyond the canine and feline kind, WE LOVE ALL ANIMALS!

Our Property:
We live on a quarter acre in Pine Grove California (Amador County), seconds to the closes vet clinic and fire station. We have a FULLY FENCED BACKYARD with lot's of space for you pups to roam and play, even to just chill under a tree in the shade.

Meet "Kona", our 7 year old mini-aussie who has too many nicknames to count! He is an attentive, intelligent, very physically active and very loving little boy. If he's not getting into shenanigans, his favorite hobbies are playing ball, going for hikes, and being manager of the household. He definitely lives up to his herding ancestors, so while on hikes he's very attuned to his "sheep" being within sight. He'll also ensure everyone is behaving and that the house rules are being followed. Rest assured you will have a solid playmate to keep your furry loved ones entertained!

Meet Hilo, we call her "Mama Hilo" because of her loving, gentle and nurturing nature. She loves sun tanning, camping, and going for hikes in the Eldorado National forest. She's great with all dogs of any size or temperament and although she looks intimidating, she's extremely passive in the face aggression, very aloof and non-reactive. Although she is part husky, she very quiet with the occasional goofy howl. Rest assured she will be an excellent guardian angle for your furry loved ones!
