๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ We celebrated our CVMS eighth-graders at the moving-up ceremony Monday! "There have been exciting highs, memorable victories and moments that made you proud," said Principal Lee Hankinson, looking back over the past three years of middle school. And these students have made their teachers and administrators proud as well! Superintendent Joe Lenz reminded the students that feeling some butterflies as they head to high school is normal. "True growth happens right outside of our comfort zones," he said. "The secret is to meet these new adventures with confidence, keep an open mind and never think you're too cool to ask for help when things get tough." Congratulations to our amazing eighth-graders! There is so much waiting for you at PBHS! We are

๐Ÿฃ๐Ÿฅ๐ŸคEJR fourth-graders learned all about chicks this spring and had the opportunity to share that knowledge with the younger students. Lauren Nemethโ€™s class and Patricia Van Leuvenโ€™s class had the fertilized eggs incubating in their classrooms for the 21 days it takes to develop, then started seeing the chicks emerge, pecking through their eggshell, which is tough work for them. When the chicks were all here, classes came by to see them and pet them. The fourth-graders shared their newly-found knowledge about chicks with the younger students and watched closely as they all got to enjoy the little fluff balls. Some had pretty interesting names too โ€“ Chic-Fil-A, Mr. Cluck Cluck, KFC, Gary. What a terrific experience for all. And oh so fun!

๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿ‘Ÿ Pine Bush Elementary students in grades 3, 4 and 5 took part in the PBE Mile on a hot but beautiful day at the high school track. Students qualified to run in this final event, with four laps around the track to make their mile. Competition was stiff was sportsmanship was even more prevalent as family and friends came out to cheer on our runners. This is part of the Presidential Youth Fitness Program, a school-based program that promotes health and regular physical activity for our youth. Great job to all who qualified! Congratulations to our winners! Keep running!
