COMING SOON! I will be offering the USCCA mini classes virtually! Soon you will have the ability to take a USCCA mini class through Zoom. These classes are only minimally 60 minutes and no live fire, so you will be able to take them in the comfort of your own home!

CD Training and Country Outdoorsman have two live fire classes coming up.
USCCA Home Defense Fundamentals Shotgun on 9/25/21 and USCCA Home Defense Fundamentals AR on 10/9/21.

These are are 6 hour classes that combine both classroom and live fire. If you plan to use a shotgun or an AR platform for home defense, these classes are perfect for you.

Cost is $80. You can register and pay directly online through the USCCA website. On the website select trainings and enter the 10940 zip code to see the classes.

Completed my Distinguished Expert ratings in Pistol, Defensive Pistol I and Defensive Pistol II. The NRA has a great marksmanship program. It includes disciplines in pistol, rifle and shotgun. You can attain marksmanship levels up leading up to Distinguished Expert on the honor system and at your own pace. To obtain the Distinguished Expert rating will require a NRA member or instructor to witness. You can also obtain it through NRA sanctioned matches.

Myself and my colleague at Country Outdoorsman can help coach you to obtain your qualifications. Check out the NRA program on line at NRAMQP and email me if you are interested. We charge reasonable fees. This is a great way to reach your shooting potential!!

In NYS most counties don’t require live fire to obtain a concealed carry permit. A basic firearm safety class is the only training required. I can tell you this is not sufficient if you plan to carry a concealed firearm.

Many factors come in to play. Both physical and physiological factors during a deadly force encounter, with legal and financial factors in its aftermath.

We provide training, not only for using your firearm for self defense, but we cover conflict avoidance and what happens in its aftermath if you have to use a firearm as a last resort to protect yourself and your family.

5/24/21 USCCA Self Defense Firearm Basics. This is a one hour mini class. No live fire. Great class to familiarize yourself with the basics.

6/5/21 USCCA Women’s Handgun & Self Defense Fundamentals - Basic Pistol. This is a women’s only class and part 1 of a 3 part course. Great beginner class.

6/12/21-6/13/21 NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting. This is a 8-9 class scheduled over two days. Looking to get that unrestricted permit? Meet live fire requirements for the Florida and Connecticut CCW? This is your class.

6/20/21 USCCA Home Defense Fundamentals - Shotgun. Utilizing a shotgun for home defense? This is your class!

6/24/21 Scheduled two USCCA mini classes. Developing a Personal and Home Protection Plan and Legal Use of Force. 2 hours and good information to help develop good home protection.

7/3/21 USCCA Defensive Shooting Fundamentals - Advanced. This class combines a one hour mini class with live fire focusing on advanced shooting.

I have a USCCA Basic Handgun class scheduled for 5/8/21 at Shawangunk Fish & Game. Only a few days left to register. This a great beginner class. If you have a CCW and plan on exercising your right to carry a firearm, you really need additional training. It is imperative to be safe and responsible. Reach out to register!

Spring is here! I have a USSCA Concealed Carry class scheduled for April 17, 2021 at Shawangunk Fish & Game. This is a great class for anyone with a CC permit and wants to increase their knowledge and skills to carry a concealed firearm safely and responsibly. It includes both classroom and live fire instruction. If you are interested, email me at [email protected]

Winter is coming to an end. I will be posting training classes for the Spring 2021 season soon. One new class will be USCCA Home Defense Fundamentals - AR15. Due to the ongoing COVID Pandemic classes will be limited to 4 students per class.

I will be offering the NRA CCW course on October 17th and 18th. This is an intensive 16 combined classroom and live fire class for the intermediate shooter. Interested?? Go to the NRA Instructors website at nrainstructors.org to register.

I will be offering 2 USCCA classes. First the Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals on October 17th and 18th. Then, I will be offering the Women's Handgun and Self Defense Fundamentals-Basic Pistol on November 7th.
