💦 21st CCLC EARLY DISMISSAL REMINDER! 💦

PBSD 21st CCLC families, please mark your calendars! 📅

⏰ Monday, September 28, 2026, our 21st CCLC program will dismiss early at 5:30 p.m.

🚗 All scholars who are picked up by a parent/guardian must be picked up no later than 5:30 p.m. Please make the necessary arrangements for the earlier dismissal.

🚌 Transportation arrangements are also being coordinated for our scholars who are approved 21st CCLC bus riders.

🥪 Scholars will receive a sacked dinner to take home before dismissal.

The 3rd - 6th grade Southwood scholars will be taking their ATLAS Interim Assessments next week, Monday, September 28th - Thursday, October 1st. Please ensure that your child gets plenty of rest each night and arrives to school on time. Most of all, please encourage them to do their absolute BEST work and SHOW what they KNOW! 😁🧠🐯💙💛
The students will take the following assessments on the following days:
Monday - Writing
Tuesday - Reading
Wednesday - Math
Thursday - Science

💦📢 IMPORTANT 21st CCLC REMINDER 📢💦

There will be NO PBSD 21st CCLC PROGRAMMING TODAY, Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at our Southwood/Broadmoor site.

Parents and guardians, please remember that scholars should follow their regular school-day dismissal procedures today. 21st CCLC afternoon transportation will NOT operate.

📚💦 We plan to resume regular programming tomorrow, Wednesday, September 23.

Thank you to our families, staff, and community partners for your understanding and flexibility as we continue to prioritize the safety and adequate supervision of our scholars. 💙🩷💜🧡

Southwood is teaming up with Forrest Park/Greenville Kinder Academy to celebrate 9 to 5 Day in honor of Dolly Parton on Friday, September 25th (9/25)! We will have Western-themed learning, fun activities, snacks and more! Students may dress to shine in their Western wear such as denim, boots, plaid, rhinestones, and cowboy hats. Please, no toy guns. Thank you! 🐯💙💛

Also, did you know that Dolly Parton created a program called Dolly Parton's Imagination Library? This program is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children from birth to age five, through funding shared by Dolly Parton and local community partners. Each month, a free book will be mailed to the registered address for the child. To register your child for this free program, click here: https://imaginationlibrary.com/
