Brandy Reed is a public health and environmental advocate, Realtor licensed in Kansas and Missouri, cancer thriver, and community leader dedicated to creating impact through service and advocacy. She currently serves as the Regional Children’s Environmental Health and Healthy Schools Coordinator for the United States Environmental Protection Agency, where she leads initiatives focused on protecting children’s health, promoting healthy learning environments, and strengthening partnerships with schools and communities across the Midwest.

In addition to her federal leadership, Brandy has spent nearly a decade as a licensed Realtor in both Kansas and Missouri, specializing in first-time homebuyers, relocation, and new construction. Known for her relationship-centered approach and passion for helping families build wealth through homeownership, she combines professionalism, advocacy, and authenticity in every client experience.

Brandy is also the former founder of Kicks for B***s, a breast cancer nonprofit created to empower and support survivors while raising awareness through community-centered events including the beloved “Mamas, Mammos & Mimosas” Brunch and “The Sneaker Ball.” Her advocacy work is deeply personal as a three-time cancer survivor and Metastatic Breast Cancer Thriver. Through both her personal journey and family experiences, she has become a powerful voice for awareness, survivorship, hope, and equitable healthcare access. In 2025, she was honored as a Portrait of Hope Ambassador for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign and currently serves as a Chairman’s Circle Board Member for the organization.

A dynamic leader both on and off the field, Brandy proudly cheered for the Kansas City Chiefs for three seasons, serving as Co-Captain and representing the organization internationally during a military tour at Camp Zama in Japan. Today, she remains an active Chiefs Cheerleader Alumni member, supporting special events and the Junior Chiefs Cheerleader Program.

Committed to sisterhood, scholarship, and service, Brandy is a Spring 2005 initiate of the Delta Eta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.. Above all, she is a proud mother to her 11-year-old son, Jaxson, whose love of sports inspires her to lead by example and remain actively engaged in her community.

Brandon Jones is a native of Thornton, Arkansas, and a proud graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (Class of 2005), where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education and Recreation while competing as a member of the Golden Lions Men’s Basketball Team.

During his time at UAPB, Brandon’s character, leadership, and professional development were profoundly influenced by several mentors who helped shape the man he would become. Among those who left a lasting impact were Mr. David Vaughn, Dr. Vanette Johnson, Alma Murphy, Betty Hayes, and Coach Harold Blevins. While each brought unique wisdom and guidance, they shared a common belief in the importance of structure, discipline, accountability, and excellence. They consistently emphasized three principles that Brandon carries with him to this day: represent UAPB well, inspire future generations to attend, and always make it known that you are “HBCU Made”.

These lessons became the foundation upon which Brandon built his personal and professional life. He credits Dear Mother with instilling in him the values of perseverance, integrity, leadership, and service while providing an environment that challenged him to grow both academically and personally.

Following graduation, Brandon dedicated his career to education, athletics, and youth development. Over the years, he has established himself as a transformational leader and respected basketball coach whose influence extends far beyond the court. Through his mentorship and leadership, countless student-athletes have developed not only as competitors but also as scholars, leaders, and productive members of their communities.

Throughout his coaching career, Brandon has earned recognition for building championship-caliber programs while maintaining a commitment to developing the whole student-athlete. His accomplishments include more than 100 career coaching victories, multiple conference, district, and regional championships, state tournament appearances, and recognition as the 2026 Arkansas 2A-8 Conference Coach of the Year. While these achievements are noteworthy, Brandon considers his greatest success to be the lives he has impacted through mentorship, guidance, and encouragement.

Beyond coaching, Brandon is the founder of “The Coach Jones Experience”, an initiative dedicated to honoring legacy, empowering future generations, and creating opportunities for young people through education, leadership development, mentorship, and service. Through this platform, he provides scholarships to student-athletes throughout South Arkansas and supports educational opportunities for future leaders. His commitment to service also extends to his alma mater, as he proudly contributes to the UAPB Athletics Department, helping ensure future Golden Lions have access to opportunities similar to those that helped shape his own journey.

Whether serving as a coach, mentor, community leader, or philanthropist, Brandon leads with purpose, passion, and integrity. He remains a proud ambassador for the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and embodies the values that make HBCUs transformative institutions. His story is one of leadership, service, and legacy - a testament to the power of education, mentorship, and a commitment to uplifting others.

Today, Brandon continues to honor the lessons learned at UAPB by investing in the next generation, proudly representing his alma mater, and ensuring that wherever life takes him, people know he is “HBCU Made”, Golden Lion Proud, and committed to leaving a lasting impact on every life he touches.
