From the Desk of Principal Scott:
Greetings Broadmoor Elementary School Family,
From Day One of returning home to the Pine Bluff School District, I knew the journey would be challenging. However, I have always believed that when we keep the main thing the main thing, success will follow.
In Year One, we laid the foundation by focusing on four essential areas: culture, accountability, consistency, and strong Tier I instruction. The work required us to step outside our comfort zones, embrace change, and approach education differently. Although the process was sometimes uncomfortable, it was necessary.
In Year Two “The Blueprint for Excellence” we focused on building a strong team and providing intentional small-group instruction. We developed a team that was intentional, locked in, present every day, and prepared to engage our scholars. As we strengthened our culture, we reminded our scholars that they could be successful not simply for their teachers, but because they owed it to themselves to discover and demonstrate what they could achieve.
And now, look at where we are!
Year One: a 40-point increase. From 269.50 to 309.64
Year Two: a 105-point increase. 309.64 to 414.69
Broadmoor Elementary has officially moved from an “F” rating to a “C” rating!
🧡💙To our teachers: Thank you for trusting the process and remaining open, ready, willing, and intentional. Your commitment has helped move our scholars forward academically, socially, and behaviorally.
💙🧡To our scholars: We believed in you, and you began to believe in yourselves. The foundation we built together has now opened the door to unlimited possibilities.
To our parents and families: Thank you for entrusting your scholars to our care. If you did not believe before, I hope our journey serves as a testimony that faith, favor, hard work, and perseverance can take us a long way.
We are proud of our progress, but we are not finished. The best is still yet to come!
