I spent a collective 10
minutes with my husband today, our day. Every single conceivable toy drawer and door is open. I’ve stepped over three species of train to get to the corner of the couch free of beep-beeps (🚗🚌🚒🚛🏍️🚡) where I can curl up and do some work wrapped in a cheetah robe I wore seven years ago while getting ready to get married to Chad.

Every year I marvel at the life I get to have because I share my life with him. These days we’re admittedly tired parents who share about one kid free night a quarter (this is at 👆🏼) but we know how lucky we are and we wouldn’t trade any of it. I’m speechlessly grateful he’s here to hold my hand through all we enjoy and endure. 10/10/15 was one hell of a stellar day, and I’m so glad we said I do!

Larkin Marie has many names, all revolving around sweet, because she is oh so. Her laugh is infectious. Her smile lights us up. Her babbles and bababa and all her noises crack us up, because she really is “talking” to us. She crawls around like a cat, picks up things from the floor like a sweeper, and eats real food fed to her by Cameron! She has two teeth, doesn’t like avocados or having the bib put on or taken off or the first 30 seconds of sleep 😫 She has the tiniest most ridiculous pony tail, and all her pants are too short.

We love you Larkin, and we’re oh so lucky you’re with us!

And… Larkin is quite the explorer. She crawls, rolls, scoots, and finds herself in some tight squeezes that is she far more entertained by than we are. She plays with all of Cameron’s toys when he is at camp 🤫 and tries to grab his face when he is at home. She eats dinner with us, her masked up version of our main course, but she really likes mama milk more. She just now finally slept through the night last night. Separation anxiety is real for this little lady in a way we didn’t know possible.

Larkin loves: ocean waves, eating, sand, eating sand, Cameron, Cameron’s beep-beeps, Mae’s ears, her feet, laughing at Cameron dance, and love.
