I need your help. North Lake Methodist is looking for the following items. Please let me know if you can help. I am happy to pick up or you can drop off at my house and I will deliver.
Stocking Up “Four” Stockbridge
Membership Care and Outreach is sponsoring a June ministry, Stocking Up “Four” Stockbridge. MCO hopes you will help support this wonderful outreach program that provides services for the Stockbridge and neighboring communities. Donations can be dropped off at the Church from June 1 through June 20. If the Fellowship Hall is not open, items can be placed in the blue bin at the south entrance. If you need someone to pick up your donation, please contact Ann Beyer (734-255-6844) or Ann Trerice (734-424-0096).
Why “four”? … There are four ways you can contribute.
Household Items: The top five items recommended are paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, laundry soap, and dish soap.
Food Items: We are hoping everyone will donate one or two boxes or child-friendly cereal. We are waiting to hear back from the Stockbridge staff on the other top five items; we will get back to you on that.
Clothing Items: This is going to sound picky, but we don’t want anyone to have to do sorting, washing, or mending. Please donate gently used, clean clothing items you no longer use or need (e.g., no stains and no needed repairs/mending/washing). God’s Country Cooperative Parish has a good standard … something you would give to your grandparent, parent or child to wear.
Monetary Donations: You can send monetary donations to the Church. Please designate “Stockbridge Ministry” on the memo line or in your directions. These donation will be used to purchase additional needed items.
While your generosity helps NLUMC meet the Engage Michigan requirements. more importantly, it helps shine Christ’s light in our community at a time when so many need some help to get by. Thank you for caring and offering a helping hand.
