Mark your calendars Cardinals: The homecoming dance will be Saturday, September 12th from 6:30-8:30pm in the East Surry gymnasium. Tickets will be $10 and can be purchased online or in cash in Room 8, starting Monday, August 31. Ticket sales will end on Friday, September 11. Ms. Brown's class went on a walking field trip to the Charles H. Stone Memorial Library. Students learned about various library resources, explored research data bases, participated in a scavenger hunt, and applied for their own library card. A big thank you to librarian Emily Morgan for hosting us! We look forward to seeing students use the resources and skills they learned today in their research projects.

EAST SURRY INTERN SPOTLIGHT 🌟

East Surry High School juniors and seniors participating in the Surry County Schools Traditional Internship Program are taking their learning beyond the classroom this fall!
Through a Traditional Internship, students spend time in a local business or organization exploring a career firsthand, gaining valuable workplace experience, and discovering whether a career pathway is the right fit for their future—all while earning high school credit.
For seniors, a Traditional Internship can also be a great stepping stone toward a Surry-Yadkin Works Pre-Apprenticeship, providing an opportunity to take career exploration and work-based learning to the next level.
