The final day of the National FFA Convention concluded with watching Garrett Lammers receive his American Degree!

Day Three of the National FFA Convention included a general session where Coty Back gave a speech on not letting your successes define you and staying humble.

After the session, students walked through the career and expo center where they talked to businesses and colleges and participated in hands on practices.

Students then ended the day with a tour to the Indianapolis Speedway where they kissed the bricks, a racing tradition.

Day two was super fun and eventful!

Students started off their day at the second opening session where they listened to the keynote speaker; a WNBA star and a four time Olympian gold medalists, Tamika Catchings. At the end of the session, students got to meet her and even hold her gold medals!

Students then reunited with the National FFA president, Cole Baerlocher, and thanked him for his shoutout in the session.

After the session, students explored the career and expo center before their tours to Apache Sprayer and Poe Hampshire Sheep Farm.

At the end of the day, students enjoyed time at a haunted house, haunted corn maze, and haunted hay ride.

The Pilot Grove FFA chapter made their first stop at Excel Bottling Company in Breese, Illinois.
We toured the 1936 historical manufacturing building where we learned the processes of making soda. Such as the ingredients that go into soda, the balancing of carbonation and acidic levels, as well as the bottling and canning process. We then headed half a mile to the distribution center where we saw all of their packaged sodas and even got to try some!
