Pillager PTO The Pillager Elementary Parent Teacher Organization is a group of volunteers supporting our teachers What is a PTO?:
PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization.

It is an organization that is set up as a non profit and is independent from the school. A board of directors consisting of parents, grandparents and teachers select events and programs to sponsor during the year. Members consist of parents, grandparents and teachers who provide ideas, volunteer at events and participate at board meetings. Every school's PTO has a slightly different focus, but the

y all share the same desire to help teachers and the school be a great place for students and families. Purpose of the Pillager Elementary PTO:
Some PTOs may do heavy fundraising to pay for new playground equipment or school supplies. The Pillager Elementary PTO focuses more on family events and getting parents involved in the classroom and school. We do raise some money to go back into the classroom but it is not our main focus. The Pillager Elementary PTO was founded:
1. To support and partner with teachers and the school.
2. To encourage parents to participate in the classroom.
3. To be the voice of parents to administration.

Today, in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, the PTO was happy to provide breakfast for all of our amazing elementary staff and bus drivers!

It takes an incredible team to support our students each day, and we are so grateful for the teachers, paras, office staff, custodians, kitchen staff, nurses, bus drivers, and everyone who helps make our school community so special.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our families and supporters, your generosity allows us to give back to the people who care for our kids every single day. Because of your support, we’re able to support them!

Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up next week!

We reached out to our amazing teachers and gathered a few of their favorite things to help make celebrating them a little easier. We truly have the best teachers and such a supportive community, thank you for all you do to lift them up!

If you’d like to show your appreciation, take a look at the lists for some fun and thoughtful ideas. And if gifting isn’t something that works for you right now, please know that a heartfelt, handwritten note from you or your student can mean just as much. Those personal messages are often the ones teachers treasure most.

Let’s come together to make our teachers feel as valued and appreciated as they truly are!
