Each grade level is giving out special incentives (bonus points, homework passes, Lexia/IXL passes, etc) for bringing in an item.
If you are able and willing, we have students that would really appreciate your extra efforts in providing them with items to fill a backpack.
Please feel free to send other items that are not listed as well. Any and all is appreciated.

Our 4th and 5th grade classrooms were really focused on effective communication embedded in their engagement opportunities this week.
Mrs. Stanleyβs 8th graders were activating their higher order thinking while they analyzed the origins of our Constitution.

Weβre excited to celebrate the official ribbon cutting for our JAG Kentucky (Jobs for Americaβs Graduates) program here at Millard School.
What is JAG Kentucky?
JAG is a leadership and career readiness program designed to help students build the skills they need for success after high school β whether thatβs college, career, or the military. Through hands-on experiences, leadership development, and community involvement, JAG students gain valuable tools to prepare for their future.
Weβre so proud and blessed to offer this opportunity to our students and canβt wait to see all they accomplish through the JAG program! ππ€

Save the dates!
βοΈ Our Mustangs will be taking the MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) test again in correlation with the dates below. Students took this test in August..and if you can believe it, itβs time for us to measure their growth so far this year and see where we need to direct our instruction further for the remainder of the year! βοΈ
βοΈ This isnβt a pass-or-fail test β itβs a tool that helps us understand where each student is academically and how we can best support their individual learning plan. Each student has a personalized goal tailored to their academic plan. There is a district wide proficiency level that is a generalized goal. βοΈ
How do we use the results?
β«οΈTeachers use the data to plan lessons that meet students where they are and provide an individualized goal based on their data.
π‘ We analyze and identify areas and standards where students may need reteaching, support or enrichment.
β«οΈThe results help us measure growth over time β showing how much progress each child is making from fall to spring.
π‘ We use this information to create each child an academic intervention plan and ensure every student gets the right level of support moving forward. This will be personalized to each student and which questions and standards they missed.
βοΈ The MAP test helps us make sure every child is learning, growing, and on the right path for success. Our goal is to bridge any and all learning gaps as it is our belief that all students have the ability if provided the right opportunity! Thank you for encouraging your student to do their best, stressing the importance of the data from this test, and for being a partner in their learning journey! βοΈ
