BIG NEWS AT NFH AVIATION!

We are excited to introduce the newest addition to our flight training program, the Redbird FMX!

The FMX is a full-motion Advanced Aviation Training Device, AATD, approved by the FAA for single-engine and multiengine training.

When used in accordance with its FAA authorization, it may provide:

• Up to 2.5 hours toward Private Pilot
• Up to 20 hours toward Instrument
• Up to 50 hours toward Commercial
• Up to 25 hours toward ATP
• Training toward instrument currency

The FMX allows students to practice instrument approaches, equipment failures, emergencies, difficult weather, and other challenging scenarios in a safe and controlled environment.

It also means lower training costs, no fuel expense, and the ability to keep training when weather would otherwise cancel a flight. We can pause, reset, and repeat procedures until the student understands them, making future aircraft time more productive.

NFH Aviation is excited to help host the 2026 Aviation Summer Camp at the Pikeville/Pike County Airport presented by the Kentucky Aerospace Education Center and the Aviation Museum of Kentucky.

This camp is a hands-on introduction to aviation and aviation careers.

Participants will take part in activities covering aeronautics, navigation, flight simulation, and weather permitting, flight time in an airplane!

The camp will take place June 29–30, 2026, at the Pikeville/Pike County Airport. The cost is $209 per person.
