Pike County Career & Technical Education teachers are embracing all that the KACTE Summer Conference has to offer this week through meaningful professional learning, collaboration, and team building.

I couldn’t be prouder of the dedication, professionalism, and commitment our team continues to demonstrate as they invest in their own learning to better serve the students of Pike County.

A special congratulations to our newer teachers, Matt Yates and Tina Hurley, for earning their Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certified Instructor credentials, expanding Dual Credit opportunities for our students. This is an outstanding accomplishment and a testament to their commitment to excellence.

A heartfelt thank you to Cristy Honaker, Heather Hurley, Hope Ramey, Connie Ferran and Jamie Todd for representing Pike County CTE with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a shared commitment to continuous improvement. Together, this team exemplifies what it means to lead, learn, and inspire.

Teacher Appreciation Week and our SVHS spotlights will begin with these two teachers who personally put their heart and soul into their students and this school!!

Phelps High School CTE students, Ken Maynard and Selena Smith, competed at the FBLA State Leadership Conference this week in Louisville. Although they did not place they are thrilled with the first time experience they received! Ken and Selena are highly motivated and determined to be back next year!
