The University of Pikeville Upward Bound would like to thank everyone who donated new pairs of socks to its Warm Soles Project! With the help of our wonderful participants and the community surrounding their schools in Pike, Floyd, and Martin County along with Jenkins Independent, we were able to collect nearly 1,000 pairs of new socks to donate to the WestCare Perry Cline Emergency Homeless Shelter to benefit its current and future residents. We would also like to thank all of the schools we serve for allowing us to set this up in their schools.
A special shoutout to Courtney Ratliff for spearheading this effort and doing a fantastic job talking to the media about the University of Pikeville Upward Bound!

The UPIKE Upward Bound Project is a federally funded TRiO program which assists high school students All of this at no cost to you!
Upward Bound consists of two components: academic year component and the summer component. During the academic year component, participants attend monthly seminars which may include activities related to either career and cultural exploration or personal and academic enrichment.
