Theres a few more days to fill out this survey!

My name is Amanda Perkins, and I am a master's student at The Ohio State University in Agricultural Communication, Education and Leadership program. I would like to invite you to participate in my study for my research project. I am conducting this research to discover:

1. Identify if Ohio residents prefer to attend beef programs that are formed as field days, classroom settings, hybrid or virtual.
2. Identify particpant beef operation content interest.
3. To discover how participants are receiving information about extension beef programs.
4. Determine key factors as to why participants are not attending extension beef programs.

If you could take 15 minutes of your time to complete a survey about OSU Extension Beef Cattle progrmas it would be greatly appreciated.

The survey can be accessed by going to go.osu.edu/beefprogramevaluation or by scanning the QR code below.

As many of you are aware, there is an ongoing multi-state outbreak of cyclosporiasis – an illness caused by a pathogen called Cyclospora. The Ohio Department of Health has officially reported 177 confirmed cyclosporiasis cases statewide; however, it is important to note this is an evolving situation and the numbers may change quickly.

Cyclosporiasis is an intestinal illness caused by the Cyclospora parasite. People can become infected by consuming food or water that contains the parasite. Cyclosporiasis is not usually life-threatening. However, dehydration from frequent bouts of diarrhea can cause severe illness, particularly among young children or older people and those who have weakened immune systems.

The college has developed a resource page on the Knowledge Hub with more information and several links to additional resources – https://cfaes.osu.edu/report/cyclosporiasis-outbreak.
