Keep these snow-season tips from the American Academy of Pediatrics in mind for safety in the cold and snow:
❄️Dress in Layers - Along with warm boots, gloves or mittens and a hat, dress children and infants warmly for outdoor activities with several thin layers to keep them dry and warm
❄️Dress older babies and young children in one more layer of clothing than an adult would wear in the same conditions
❄️Babies and children should wear thin, snug layers while riding in the car rather than thick, bulky coats or snowsuits
❄️And don’t forget the sunscreen--snow can reflect up to 85% of the sun’s ultraviolet rays
