🏫✨ Piketon Middle School Construction Update!

From the sky to the classrooms, progress is happening everywhere. Our latest drone footage shows major exterior work nearing completion, while inside, classrooms, hallways, common areas, and specialized spaces are coming together beautifully. Fresh flooring, cabinetry, lighting, and finishes are transforming the building into a bright, modern home for our Redstreak students.

Every week brings us closer to opening day—and we can’t wait for our students, staff, and families to walk these halls for the first time. ❤️

The Scioto Valley Local School District is seeking applicants for two 9-month evening custodial positions (2PM - 10 PM) at Piketon High School. Interested applicants need to complete an application in the Superintendent's office. The deadline for completing the application is June 12, 2026.

Schools will be dismissing school at 12:30 tomorrow, May 27th. We are doing this so students and staff who want to go support our softball team may do so.

Students in Mrs. Hablitzel’s theatre classes spent the last three weeks creating paper‑only costumes using nothing but paper, tape, and markers 🎨✂️. Their chosen theme? Movie characters 🎬

They sketched designs, took measurements, made patterns, and built their costumes from scratch before hitting the runway at yesterday's annual Costume Runway Event 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️✨. Their creativity and teamwork absolutely stole the show.

And the finale? A very satisfying rip‑and‑recycle moment ♻️ after the runway wrapped!

A fun celebration of imagination — and a perfect send‑off for the seniors in that class. 🎓❤️
