Well, well, well… this is a different kind of Mazel Tov Monday, and we’re totally down for it! 🎉

Max Cardin ’11 and Maya Taylor ’22 are both stepping into new roles with our Alumni Association, and we’re pretty excited to have these familiar faces back in the mix.

Max is taking on the role of Alumni Council Chair. An Owings Mills native and member of the BT Class of 2011, Max is an attorney with Pillsbury Winthrop’s Insurance Recovery and Advisory practice. He also serves as a Community Connector for The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore and is a member of the University of Maryland Carey Law Alumni Board. In his new role, Max will help create more opportunities for alumni to reconnect with BT, with one another, and with the next generation of our community.

Maya is coming back to BT as our Community Engagement Associate: Alumni & Grandparents. Maya knows BT pretty well... she was here from preschool through high school! She recently graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Human Services, concentrating in Family and Community Services. While at Delaware, she served as a Blue Hen Ambassador and held several leadership positions with Hillel, including President of Student Leadership. She also gained experience in administration, programming, and community engagement through her work with BT Camps and the Siegel JCC.

We’re pretty excited to have Maya and Max back at Beth Tfiloh in these new roles. A big Mazel Tov to you both! 👏

One of the best parts of what we do is watching our students become alumni, and then seeing where life takes them.

For Jacob Goldman '24, that journey has led him to the University of Maryland where he's pursuing dual degrees in biological sciences and piano performance, conducting research, writing about science, and even performing on some of the world's most prestigious stages - including Carnegie Hall. 🎹

Jacob's story is a beautiful reminder that learning doesn't have to fit neatly into just one discipline, and neither do our passions.

Mazel Tov, Jacob! We're incredibly proud. 💙💛
