Bam, Crack, Dot!

Join us on Thursday, January 29, from 6:30-9 p.m. for an evening of Mahjong with Sheri Green, a Park alumni parent, who will be coming to teach and guide players through the game. Participants may sign up individually or in groups of four. Space is limited to 28 people (7 tables of 4). Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

It's Gingerbread House Decorating season!! Join us on Sunday, December 7, from 1- 3 p.m. for a festive afternoon (with a specially crafted holiday playlist):

Gingerbread House Decorating: Cardboard houses, icing, and candy will be supplied for every family to create a ~spectacular~ holiday centerpiece.

Rock Climbing on the Challenge Course: Families can also sign up for an hour of rock climbing on our Challenge Course. Rock climbing extends until 4 p.m. Parents are welcome to climb, too! (Note: Students must be in 1st Grade or older to participate in climbing.)

🐻🍕🌮Thank you to the members of the Park community who came out to support our last two fundraisers at Pizza Blitz and La Food Marketa. We are grateful for your support. The money raised helps support PA initiatives like our grant program. So far this year, the PA awarded grants for: A 3-D Resin Printer for the Middle School Dungeons and Dragons Club, new field hockey sticks, and new speakers for Goldsoundz!

for Parents to enjoy before and during the LS Halloween Parade on

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 30

🎃👻☕🍩 No tricks, only treats this Halloween! Join the Parents' Association for coffee, hot chocolate, and donuts and watch the Lower School Halloween Parade. If the weather cooperates (witchful thinking) 🧹, we will gather outside the Lieberman Building (stone cottage across from the Wyman Arts Center). Since we're not ghosts, the rain won't dampen our spirits — we'll just move inside to the Macks-Fidler Theater Lobby in the Wyman Arts Center. Parking will be reserved in the main lot. We will start at 8:30 in the morning and go until the end of the parade around 10 a.m. Eat, drink, and be scary! 🎃👻☕🍩

By now, you have received a link to your child’s portrait gallery from Picture Day! You can purchase pictures via the online link (through Freed Photography). If you have not received the link, please contact Freed Photography: [email protected] or 301-652-5452. School pictures are the Parents’ Association's biggest fundraiser and proceeds support PA initiatives and events! 📸🫶✌️

If you missed picture day or are dissatisfied with the pictures, you have the option of having them retaken on the make-up day, Wednesday, November 12 from 8 a.m.—1:30 p.m.

🎨 🖌 👻 🐻 TOMORROW! Friday, October 17, 10-noon.
Community Service Event at Art with a Heart 🎨 🖌 👻 🐻

With school closed for students on October 17, please join us for a community service event for the whole family. Art with a Heart has designed an event for Lower School Park families that incorporates a take-home project and a service component. Each student participant will create a spooky birdhouse to take home as well as work on continuing service to support the organization.
