Get ready, get set....GO! We hope everyone gets a good night's rest and is ready for our first school day on Wednesday morning. Our doors open at 7:30 with our three car lines in the back of the building and bus drop-off in the front. On Wednesday kindergarten will welcome boys for their first day and then Thursday will be the girls' first day. Kindergarten will have their whole classes together starting Friday. As you heard at open house, our afternoon dismissal times will change a bit this year: Car riders at 3:02; bus riders at 3:11; and walkers at 3:16. We can't wait to get started tomorrow!

We had a great night at PES at our open house! It was so fun seeing everyone again. Let’s have a wonderful year!

Today we presented the 2026 Piggott Elementary Scholarships to two Piggott High School graduates. Taylor Peters plans to attend Arkansas Tech University in Russellville and major in digital marketing. Mason Kinnard will attend Arkansas State University and plans to be a high-voltage lineman. Congratulations!

We are getting close to our first day of school on Wednesday! Open house is tonight from 5:00 to 7:00 so we will see you soon. Today our ABC Preschool students began their school year and we saw smiling faces and a few criers … but some of those were parents! It’s OK, moms and dads!

PES staff members had our first meeting to kick off the 2026-2027 school year, sweeping away the old and getting ready for the new. (Mr. Brock tricked us into bringing brooms, made us carry them around, then sent us on our way….maybe to get us back for the jokes we played on him last year.) Thanks to First National Bank which helped us give out $100 door prizes to several staffers! Next we went to Kennett to bowl and connect with each other again. Our winning team won medals for their skills. We are anxious to see our students Monday night at open house!

Today our building is buzzing with activity! We will continue to have new student registration until 3:30 today so drop by if you need to see Mrs. Sadie. We also have many new faces (and familiar faces) working on campus today. The sweetest part is our Lil Mohawks are here also!
