October is Principal Appreciation Month!

It may sound cliché, but we truly are fortunate to have an outstanding administrative team at Pigeon Forge High School! We are grateful for the leadership, dedication, and support of our principal, Dr. Billy Wilson, and assistant principals, Dr. TJ Riggs and Mrs. Kayla Watts.

A special thank you to the local businesses that helped us recognize our administrators by providing family experiences they can enjoy outside of school! Thanks to the generosity of Top Concepts, Wilderness at the Smokies, and JDel’s Pizza along with Small Town Bistro, each administrator received a family package filled with opportunities for fun, relaxation, and a great meal.

Finally, a big shoutout to the students who worked together to create this special video honoring our administrators!

Congratulations Coach Guinn! TBCA Hall of Fame is such an amazing and well deserved accomplishment. 602 and counting. Go Tigers!

🐅 We're celebrating a tremendous honor for one of Pigeon Forge's own! Longtime Pigeon Forge High School baseball coach Mike Guinn has been inducted into the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame! 🏆

Over 21 seasons, Coach Guinn led the Tigers to an impressive 602 wins, nine state tournament appearances, six Final Four appearances and a state championship! Along the way, 65 players went on to sign with colleges, and four were selected in the MLB Draft.

Beyond the wins and championships, Coach Guinn has helped shape generations of student-athletes and has been an important part of the Pigeon Forge community.

We love celebrating the people who make our community special, and Coach Guinn is certainly one of them!

Congratulations on this incredible achievement, Coach Guinn! You make Pigeon Forge proud! 🧡🖤

You thought we were ready to move on from September? Not so fast!

Throughout the month, our school community used the Eye of the Tiger to spot exceptional moments—recognizing students, faculty, and staff who went above and beyond and made a positive impact at PFHS.

Even when weather had to relocate the competition into a gymnasium, our PFHS Band still put on a show up at Tennessee High. Way to go, Tigers!

This past Thursday, several of our Key Club members volunteered at the annual Kiwanis Pancake Supper!

13 of our students donated their time to help serve the flapjacks, bus tables, keep coffee and juice flowing, and greet everyone with warm smiles.

We’re thankful for our local Kiwanis and allowing our students this opportunity to serve while also witnessing your all’s heart for the community as well.

Big Tiger thank you to Dr. Taylor Clabo and the Lace-Up Scholarship. For 16 years, over $133,000 has been raised for Breast Cancer Awareness and Research. This year’s scholarship recipients are:

Before this week concludes, we want to recognize two groups of people who make a difference at PFHS each and every day!

In honor of National Translator Day that took place earlier this week, we want to recognize our translator, Joe, who is truly a shining star in helping us eliminate language barriers and build stronger connections with our students and families.

And on National Custodian Day today, we want to recognize our incredible custodial crew: David, Michelle, Trish and Corey. Each who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our school clean, safe, and welcoming all of which create an environment where every member of our school community can succeed.

We are incredibly grateful for all that you do for PFHS!
