Another wonderful Day in May ceremony has come to a close. The festive 5th-grade graduation brought our school and community together for a day filled with dancing, music, and celebration! 🎓

It was a beautiful reminder of the small-town spirit and cultural heritage that make Pierson Elementary so special.

We are so proud of our Class of 2026 5th graders! Thank you for celebrating with us today!

📆Reminder: Volusia County Schools will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. Schools and district offices will reopen Tuesday, May 26 👈

Memorial Day carries a meaning that goes well beyond a long weekend or the unofficial start of summer. At its core, it’s a day set aside to honor and remember the men and women of the U.S. military who died while serving their country. ❤️🤍🩵

We encourage our students, families, and staff to take a moment this weekend to reflect on the sacrifices made by our nation’s heroes.

🐾💙From Cubs to Wildcats, the journey has come full circle. Today, Taylor High seniors walked the halls of Pierson Elementary, revisiting the place where so many of their dreams first began.

With every smile, high-five, and memory shared, they reminded the younger students that these hallways are more than just classrooms—they’re the start of something special. ✨

As they prepare to take their next steps, these seniors leave behind more than memories. They leave a legacy of kindness, pride, and inspiration for the next generation of Cubs who will one day become Wildcats.

What a wonderful wrap up to Teacher Appreciation Week! Our teachers are some of the best around and your students went above and beyond to make them feel loved and appreciated. Thank you for your support!
Thank you to our wonderful PTA and front office staff for making sure they had tasty treats this week!

We’re so proud of our students hard work on the first round of PM3 yesterday that we decided to throw in a little fun in the middle of A LOT of learning!

Day 1- Top Secret Service
Loved hearing the kids laugh and be surprised when they realized we were all dressed the same! We also planted a “Queen” to be escorted!
