💙💚 Hands-On Learning in Our Blue & Green Classes! 💙💚

Today our Blue & Green classes explored bones and how our bodies work in the most hands-on way! 🦴✨

The children:
✔️ Learned about what bones do
✔️ Made a “glove hand”
✔️ Used straws to represent bones
✔️ Compared what a body can do with bones vs. without bones

This activity helped them understand strength, movement, and structure in a way they can see and feel — which is exactly how young children learn best.

Science, fine motor skills, and curiosity all wrapped into one engaging activity 💚

📏 Measuring Fun in Blue & Green Class! 💙💚

Our Blue 💙 and Green 💚 classes spent time learning about measuring length using connecting cubes. The children explored, compared, counted, and discovered that measurement can be hands-on and fun!

This activity helped build:
✔️ Early math skills
✔️ One-to-one counting
✔️ Problem-solving
✔️ Focus and patience

Watching them work together and proudly share their measurements was a highlight of the day.

Red Class worked on the letter N by making noodle necklaces during our theme activity—and they did such a great job!

As the children carefully threaded noodles onto yarn, they practiced:
🔤 Letter recognition (N is for noodles!)
✋ Fine motor and hand-eye coordination
🧠 Focus, patience, and following directions

Hands-on activities like this help strengthen little fingers while reinforcing early literacy skills—and the necklaces were a big hit!

Last week, Red Class celebrated our New Year theme with a fun and creative fireworks art activity!

The children used paint and forks to create fireworks on paper while we talked about New Year’s celebrations and what makes this time of year special. This activity supported:
🎆 Creative expression
✋ Fine motor development
🎨 Exploring textures and tools
🧠 Connecting art to real-world experiences

They worked so carefully and loved seeing how the forks made their “fireworks” burst on the page. Learning is always more exciting when it’s hands-on!

Last week, our Blue and Green classes explored color mixing during table work—and they did an amazing job!

The children mixed yellow and red to create orange, then used their new color to paint their pictures. This activity supported:
🎨 Color recognition
✋ Fine motor skills
🧠 Cause-and-effect learning
👀 Focus and attention at the table

Hands-on learning like this helps concepts stick—and the smiles said it all!
