So ... THANK YOU Dana Dykstra for 2001!!! I now know why Dan didn't have that artwork in his file ... it was one of about 5 years where students did the art for the shirt ...Kelly Nieles did 2001 shirt design. I did find 2000 however it is badly stained as "sumbunnie" thought it was a rag since I had cut sleeves so I discovered it being used to clean something yuckie in the garage!! Couldn't bleach out the stains! 😣

I'm posting this in hopes to have someone solve a mystery of 2 missing shirt designs. I've long thought of doing memory quilt with all the shirt designs (most were created by Dan) and finally decided to gather them together to do so. Over the years I thought I'd been very conscious of making sure I kept track of at least 1 of every year. I've been gathering up shirts from kids tubs and my various storage locations to pull them together in 1 place. However when I finally compliled them all together I found I was missing 2 years. 2000 & 2001!! If ANYONE out there has these 2 shirts I would greatly appreciate it if you let me know and would consider sharing them or at least letting us do a scan so it can be reproduced.
2001 was the year my mother died on March 6 immediately after we returned from watching our eldest son graduate from basic training in the USAF. The theme that year was based on a poem I wrote in memory of Mom and as a tribute to her. I'm very sad I have no evidence of that design anywhere! And, while because of the logistics of all that was going on that spring, the possibility does exist I didn't get an shirt order done I really can't believe I wouldn't have pushed to get it completed to distribute, even if after the show as sometimes happened.
ANYONE with information on these 2 years designs please contact me ... it's now becoming a mystery quest for me!!

Last weekend would have been when both my mother and I provided Pierre with free dance performances for over 65 years (my last 6 years shows were moved earlier). When you have a career that spans over 40 years and it embraces literally thousands of people you sometimes don't "see the forest for the trees". But in reviewing my "old studio" site I came across this photo and realized these lovely ladies are now finishing up their masters and are making their mark in the world. This was an example of what I felt was some of my best choreography and this group did it proud!! I miss it every day but know too "For everything there is a season" ... this one is over, but I'm pleased to have touched and been touched by so many wonderful people over the years. Thanks for the memories. PFC
