📚 IREAD Success! 🎉

We are excited to celebrate a significant increase in our districtwide IREAD test scores this year! Even more impressive, our students have already surpassed the state’s goal for 2027. 👏

This achievement is a reflection of the tremendous amount of hard work and dedication from our teachers, students, and families. We are incredibly proud of everyone who played a part in this success!

Way to go, South Whitley Elementary School Bulldogs and Pierceton Elementary School Cubs! Keep up the great work!

In kindergarten we spend the first few weeks learning drawing skills, each others names, and fun facts by doing ‘my special friend’! Here are few special friends from this week!

Pre-K spent the day learning what sound the letter A makes, how to identify it, and also, not just trace the letter but how to write the letter all on their own! We had the boys making tracks all together today, which was very exciting for them. We proceeded to spend the afternoon talking about what it means to be a bucket dipper or a bucket filler, and made some headbands with it!

PreK went over their letter A today, their letter of the week, and colored a picture of different things that represented A, and had a major tea party this morning.

Kindergarten started their purposeful play curriculum today. They will learn many essential lessons with purposeful play including: taking turns, sharing, helping, patience, and many more! 🧸

This week teachers, staff, and students got back into the groove of school by focusing on creating relationships with new classmates, learning behavior expectations in each area of our building, and learning all about their new teachers for the year!

At Pierceton we believe clear expectations, positive relationships, and consistency, help to promote an amazing school culture. We can’t wait to see all of the amazing things our students will achieve this school year and the incredible memories they will make along the way!
