A duet with a seven year old. It’s Ode to Joy by Beethoven. Beautiful melody and quickly learned by this bright student.

We had a fun duet last night. She worked on the piece a couple weeks and then we put the duet together. Yay for Christmas music!

It’s true. We try and we fail and we try again. It is in applying wisdom as we try that we improve and can move to the next level. See supposed failures as successes because it means that you are working through something to find what will allow you to meet the goal.

Y’all! My eleven year old student was learning an arrangement of a Thousand Years by Christina Perri for a Beta Club audition. We recorded her playing it and she submitted the video. Her video was voted as the winning one! Next month she will perform in front of hundreds at the convention. I am SO excited and proud! My student won a competition!!!
