We are excited to welcome you to our Back to School Night this Thursday, August 27, from 5:00–6:30 PM! This special evening is an opportunity to visit your child’s classroom, meet their teacher, learn more about the year ahead, and connect with our school community.

Please note that TK, Kindergarten, and Special Education classrooms will not be participating in Back to School Night, as these families were welcomed during our Welcome Back to School Night and Kinder Kickoff on August 11.

Back to School Night is intended as an opportunity for teachers to share information with families and is not a parent conference. Teachers will not be able to hold private conversations about individual students during the event. If you would like to discuss your child’s progress or needs, please email their teacher directly to arrange a one-on-one meeting or plan to attend our Parent Conference Night in October.

Parents will also be able to receive assistance with data confirmation in our Parent Room. In addition, our PTO will be selling snacks and school shirts.

We look forward to welcoming you on Thursday and begin a wonderful school year together!

Join us tonight at 6:00 p.m. to watch & cheer on Team USA in their World Cup match against Paraguay!

We are especially excited to watch our hometown hero, Cristian Roldan, take the field and represent our community on the world stage. 🌎🏆
Even more exciting, seven Rio Vista students will have the incredible honor of walking out onto the field with Team USA before the match! What a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a moment our entire Panther community can celebrate together. 🐾💙

And then this happened... 💜

Our fifth graders surprised our very own Mrs. Crook with a heartfelt tribute and special speech delivered by Student Council President, Michael Siberio. Michael did an outstanding job putting into words the gratitude, admiration, and love we all feel for Mrs. Crook and her remarkable 30 years of service in education.

Throughout her time at Rio Vista, Mrs. Crook has touched countless lives, inspired generations of students, and left a legacy that will be felt for years to come. While she will be greatly missed, we are so excited for this next chapter in her journey.

Thank you, Mrs. Crook, for your dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment to our students and school community. We wish you a retirement filled with joy, adventure, and all the happiness you deserve! 💜🐾

Over the past few days, we’ve been celebrating some very special Rio Vista Panthers as they take exciting steps toward their next adventure. Our TK students are ready for Kindergarten, our Kindergarteners are heading to First Grade, and our amazing Fifth Graders are off to Middle School! 🎓✨

Each promotion marks a year of growth, learning, friendships, and unforgettable memories. We are so proud of all of our Panthers and can’t wait to see the incredible places their journeys will take them.
